Sometimes the answer is chocolate! These chocolate chip cookies with pecans are my favorite chocolate chip cookie. The recipe is my twist on my mom’s recipe. I love them because they stay soft on the inside without being cakey. I am ready to share the recipe to see if others agree, but I have to get my mom’s permission first. You see, I am the only one that she ever gave the recipe to, so I don’t want to violate that confidence without talking to her first. Therefore, for now, I will leave this in the “food experience” category while I work on getting the ok from Mom to move it to “Recipes.” The good news is that this is the only recipe in my kitchen that falls into this category. I promise not to leave you guessing on other favorites.
