Ingredients

2 1/2 to 3 1/2 lb. pork shoulder roast
1 cup salsa verde (homemade or store bought)
1 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chipotle chili powder

Instructions

  • Combine pepper, salt and chili powder in a small bowl
  • Use paper towels to pat the pork shoulder dry
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder
  • Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker
  • Pour the salsa verde over the top of the pork
  • Place the lid on the slow cooker and set the temperature to low
  • Cook for 6-8 hours until tender and falling apart
